This piece suggests the differences in Spring spent at home in the UK, and a spring spent abroad in the French Alps. My early springs were spent in shorts and t-shirts, treading footprints in the sand of Bournemouth’s beaches. The early innocence of Winnie the Pooh is shown here too, in the delicate shades of yellow and red which adorned both mine and my partner’s early bedrooms.
Contrasting the warmth of those English springs, my partner is shown here in a thick coat and fur hat. He looks equally as lively though, equally as innocent. This piece represents the joy of youth.
