This piece centres around the rugby games my partner played at school. The team is, itself, a central entity of the image, and yet the figures are faceless; friends who I do not know, and who my partner rarely now speaks of.

He is shown here separately to represent the internal loneliness many teenagers feel in school, and to the side I have drawn myself in biro. I am considerably younger than I would have been here in comparison to my partner, representing the struggles I was also enduring in school at the time, and how those struggles made me regress into myself.
